Diaper Cream & A Natural DIY Deodorant Recipe
Even though the label says Diaper Cream, this product has so many more uses! Just the other day we had a customer tell us that she uses it to relieve skin irritation under her feeding tube. One of my favorite ways to use the diaper cream is as a deodorant (because it is also an anti-fungal cream 😉).
I don’t usually add any extra essential oils to it and find it works perfectly as is. However, you can easily add oil(s) to change the scent and for more pit power. Tea Tree is a great option because it is a known anti-fungal oil and can protect your skin from yeast buildup. My two other favorites would be Lemon and Peppermint, but of course there are a ton of other options too. To make the deodorant with essential oils: Measure one tablespoon of cream and place it in a separate small bowl. Add in 1 to 2 drops of your essential oil choice and mix well. Rub a pea sized amount of cream onto the underarm area until it is absorbed. Store the extra deodorant in a small container with a lid. Super easy, effective and one less product to buy!
