Baking Soda Uses For First Aid
One of the items that I always keep in my natural first-aid kit is a vial of baking soda. It can be used for a number of different issues and is already a staple in most kitchen cupboards. Be sure to find a brand of baking soda that is aluminum free, especially if you will be taking it internally.

Make a paste of baking soda with water for:
Hives
Insect Bites
Wasp/Bee Stings
Rashes
Splinter Removal
Reduce Swelling
Razor Burn
Sunburn
Jellyfish Stings
Internally:
Heartburn/Indigestion
Acid Reflux
Urinary Tract Infections (alleviates symptoms quickly, but not a cure)
Stomach Ulcers
Gargle for Sore Throats
Mouthwash for Canker Sores
Gout
In a pinch, it can also be used for toothpaste, deodorant, dry shampoo or hand wash (mixed with water). Baking soda is a great remedy to have handy at all times!
